Yvonne Lawrence

Yvonne Lawrence, age 72, passed away peacefully after a short illness on June 13, 2022, at St Anthony's in Gig Harbor, WA.

Born on July 16, 1949 in Vallejo, CA. she graduated from Bencia High School and later attended Olympic College. She married David Lawrence on January 6, 1968 in Reno, NV. They lived their few years of marriage in Vallejo, CA. They were blessed with two sons, Steven and Kevin. David worked at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo and in 1971 transfered to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, WA. They made there home in Port Orchard. She loved being a wife, mother and homemaker. As the boys got older, she found work as a self-employed bookkeeper. She enjoyed playing board games with her family, crocheting and calligraphy (she had beatiful penmanship). The last few years she really loved doing Escape Rooms with her family. She will be remembered for her humor, giving nature and loving kindnes. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband David, sons, Steven and Kevin, sisters Evette and Elaine and a large extended family.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held on July 16, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Port Orchard Church of Christ, 4135 Carr Lane SE, Port Orchard, WA 98366. Reception will follow after the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kitap Humane Society in her name.
