William (Bill/Willie) Harris Obituary

William (Willie, Bill) Edward Harris, 71, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022 in Olympia, Washington.

William was born on July 21, 1951 in Fulton, Arkansas. He moved to the Midwest and later to Washington State. He worked in the telecommunications industry at Northwestern Bell (U S WEST, Qwest Corporation, WorldCom) for over 30 years. Always a hard worker, he worked his way up from a Telecommunications Lineman to the role of Service Manager. He was also the founder and part owner of Affordable Alarms. 

William loved nature, especially water-related activities. Fishing, crabbing, and camping were his favorites. You could often find him camping at one of his favorite destinations. He was a foodie and loved eating at restaurants and spending time in the kitchen preparing his latest catch. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.   

William is survived by:

His children: Taunisha McShan (Dan), Nycholle Davis (Cory), Alonti Brooks (James), Shaunda Ramsee (Demis). Siblings: Leonard, Donald, Kevin (Annie), Irvin (Jacqueline), Luther (Andrea), Kathy, Keith (La Tricia); 8 grandchildren, extended family members, and a host of friends. 

He was preceded in death by parents Retha Harris-Thomas, Johnnie Harris and brother Delbert Harris.
