Robert Barcus Obituary

Robert "Jeff" Barcus was born in Indiana, spent most of his youth in Wisconsin, and chose to settle in the Tacoma area after retiring as a Major from the US Air Force in the 80's. He had a distinguished military career and traveled the world, making friends, laughing and having adventures. He was never too old to learn and met his wife, Vicki, in 1988 at Green River Community College. He was studying airport management and they both took the same Stress Management class. And the adventures, both domestic and international, continued. Their last trip included climbing a volcano in Iceland. Jeff is survived by his wife Vicki Wyman Barcus, his son Thomas Barcus and Tom's wife, Angela and his daughter Jennifer Topping and her husband Pete and children Sarah and James. Jeff died of heart disease at Valley Hospital in Renton on January 2, 2022 at the age of 79. His spirit, love, and sense of humor will be missed.
