Rhonda Renee Oster, 50, of Seattle, Washington, formally Carrington North Dakota passed away peacefully October 2, 2020 at the University of Washington Medial Center.
Rhonda was born on July 30, 1970 in New Rockford, ND to Orville and Shelia (Edinger) Oster. Rhonda attended Carrington Public School k-12, graduating with honors in 1988. She then went to earn her degree in Mass Communications at Minnesota State University Moorhead in Moorhead, MN. Rhonda was part of the management team of the Royal Fork in Fargo, ND which then took her to Anchorage, Alaska. Eventually Rhonda would move and make Washington state her home. There she managed Royal Fork, Olive Garden and Starbucks. Then Rhonda finally got her dream job at DSHS Community Services as a case worker where she shined, as she loved to help people and she was utterly amazing at it.
Rhonda remained undaunted as a two-time cancer survivor and gained her angel wings due to complications of a heart transplant. Rhonda was a shining light in the world, she was the best, a beautiful soul with the best sense of humor through all her hard-fought battles.
Rhonda was an incredible person and loved to spend her free time with friends traveling all over to attend her favorite concerts and Concert Cruises.
Rhonda is survived by her mother, Sheila Oster of East Grand Forks, MN; her two sisters Tricia Oster Cota of Breckenridge, MN; and Tamara Craven (Troy) of East Grand Forks, MN; two nieces and two nephews, Brooklyn Cota and Jakob, Hannah and Garrett Craven.
Rhonda is proceeded in death by her father, Orville Oster, her maternal grandparents: Rueben and Lela Edinger and paternal grandparents: Jacob and Lydia Oster.
A Celebration of Rhonda’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Trinity Luthern Church in Carrington, ND.
She will be forever in our hearts.
