With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Peggy Joyce Grenier, 77, of Olympia, WA, on Saturday, December 11 th , 2021. Peggy was born to Dee and Eva Mae (Hosmer) Wooley on October 2nd , 1944 in Vancouver, WA. She grew up in the Vancouver area, attending Evergreen High School and Clark Community College where she studied English and Writing. Peggy is remembered by many as a great friend and coworker, often sprinkling conversations with a quick joke or witty sarcasm. She worked much of her career at Thurston County Public Health and Social Services, from which she retired in 2011. She enjoyed crocheting, lunch with friends, long scenic drives, crossword puzzles, reading, and, more than anything, spending time with her family. She had a big heart and was a dedicated mother and grandmother, always providing the utmost love and support. She is survived by her son, Jeff Grenier (Debbie) and daughter, Michele Grenier-Moats (Brent); Grandchildren, Jon Lucich, Ashley Lewis, Brittany Kittle (Jeff), Breana Laughlin (Jeff) and Josh Grenier; as well as eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dee and Eva Mae Wooley. Peggy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the gracious and caring staff at Providence St. Peter Hospital for their kindness and medical care in her final days. At Peggy’s request, no service will be held.
