Pamala Joanne Bush died on August 11, 2024 in Tacoma, WA after an incredibly courageous 2 plus year battle with lung cancer, at the way too young age of 66. She will be dearly missed.
Pam was born on July 28, 1958 in Coos Bay/North Bend, Oregon. She graduated from Marshfield High School in Coos Bay in 1976, and in 1982 moved to Ketchikan, Alaska, where she met her future husband Tim.
In 1984 Pam and Tim were married, Pam gave birth to a son, Nathan, and the family moved to Aberdeen, WA, where Pam and Tim opened a Kit's Cameras franchise, operating that store from 1984 to 2001. Daughter Kerrie was born in 1986 while the family lived in Aberdeen.
In 2002 the family moved to Tacoma, WA, and Pam worked in banking until she called it a career in 2015.
Pam loved being a mother, and especially being a grandmother, above all else. She loved having lots of friends, loved cooking, always learning new recipes, loved travelling, and even while battling cancer she and Tim travelled to Spain and Morocco as recently as October 2023. Her positive outlook, friendliness, and courage have rubbed off on thousands of people during Pam's wonderful life.
Pam is survived by her husband Tim of Tacoma, son Nathan of Aberdeen, WA, daughter Kerrie of University Place, WA, sister Barbara Roberts of Albany, Oregon, grandsons Nick of Spanaway, WA and Remy of University Place, granddaughters Vivian and Isabella of University Place, and lots and lots of other family members and friends.
There will be a memorial celebration of life held at a future time, and we will notify all who loved Pam know when and where that memorial will take place.
