Mary Marjorie Conklin, née Moak, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Valentine's morning. Born October 15, 1953, to Clayton and Madge Moak, Marj grew up in Tacoma and graduated from Mt. Tahoma High School where she met her beloved husband Earl.
Marj was a longtime resident of Gig Harbor. She is survived by loving husband of 51 years Earl; their three children Darrin, Brian, and Brieanne; and her cherished grandchildren Blake and Camryn. She is also survived by sisters Catherine Bauer and Jean (Rick) Wall, nieces and nephews, and countless lives she touched and deeply impacted. She is preceded in death by brother Steve Moak.
Marj dedicated her life to supporting and caring for her family, even as her own health declined and she faced countless physical limitations over much of her life. She always remained upbeat and positive and centered those around her. Her love for her family and the genuine care for all around her shone above all else.
Her love, care, and strength remains unmatched and deeply felt by all who knew her. Marj will be deeply missed by her family and those whose lives she touched. And, we know that she continues to watch over and care for us. We love you.
A celebration of Marj's life will be held 2pm on Saturday, March 9, at the Titlow Lodge
