Mark Edward Tucker

Mark Tucker, a Tacoma native and graduate of Lincoln High School Class of 1974, passed away on February 28, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. He was 68 years old.

Born to Roy and Lois Tucker and raised in Tacoma, Mark's adventurous spirit enjoyed the landscapes of Washington State throughout his lifetime. An enthusiastic golfer, boater, water skier, snow skier, camper, fisherman, scuba diver, and hunter, he embraced every opportunity to immerse himself in the outdoors, creating countless cherished memories for him, family, and close friends.

As a teenager and young man, Mark worked for his father in the family business, Tucker & Sons. This early experience laid the foundation for his career in the industrial supply business, as well as honing his talent of a natural handyman.

Mark's greatest joy was his loving family. He shared nearly 42 years of marriage in Puyallup, Washington with his devoted wife and best friend, Kimberly Kennedy-Tucker. Together they raised two wonderful children, Eric Tucker and Mackenzie Williams. Son-in-law Charles Williams joined the family in 2012. Mark's legacy was extended with the births of his two grandchildren, Kennedy and Charlie, who brought immense joy and pride to his heart.

In addition, to his wife, children, and grandchildren, Mark leaves behind his brother, Steve Tucker; two sisters, Sueann Tucker Spingola and Karen (Tucker) Schneider; three brothers-in-law, Phillip Schneider, Warnell Perry, and Kevin Kennedy; sister-in-law, Kris Kennedy; and father-in-law, Dale Kennedy; plus many nieces and nephews and their families.

An informal gathering to celebrate Mark’s life will be held on Saturday, March 16th, from 2pm to 4pm in Chris Knutzen Hall of the Anderson University Center at Pacific Lutheran University, located on Park Avenue between 122nd & 123rd Streets, Tacoma.
