Anyone who met Lisa Jane Paris knows how much her energy, joy, laughter and warmth radiated through her. She was a sweet and genuine soul with strength and resilience to match.
Lisa passed away on December 15, 2024 at sixty years old. The story of her life is filled with adventure, love and laughter.
Lisa was firstborn on October 25, 1964, alongside her twin sister Teresa. They grew up in Maple Valley, Washington, with their other twin siblings, Robin and Ron.
Shortly after graduating from Tahoma High School Class of 1983, Lisa met Joe Fraley and the two of them married in the summer of 1990. Over their 17 years of marriage, they became parents to their two daughters — Audrey and Elizabeth. Lisa was a devoted mother, overflowing with pure and unconditional love.
She was adventurous and brave, from scuba diving to paragliding and skydiving. She was stylish, riding around in her Harley Davidson motorcycle and sporting her best color-coordinated outfits. She was creative, loving a homemade card, arts & crafts and sketching in her notebook. She was playful, always ready to play (and likely win) a game of cards or dice. She has left us all with so many memories, lessons and laughs.
Lisa was a paraeducator at Tahoma School District and was deeply committed to the children she helped. Over the decades, Lisa was known for going the extra mile to make every child feel seen, heard and cared for. She was also a cashier at Fred Meyer, and her lane was filled with laughter and smiles.
Lisa was elated to become a grandmother to Audrey’s daughters, Keira and Claire. As a loving Nana, she always showed up to their sports games, school activities and holiday celebrations with a smile.
Lisa leaves a legacy of love, kindness, strength and care. Her warmth and light shine through all of those she has touched. She was an angel on earth and is now watching over us from above.
She is survived by her two daughters Audrey and Elizabeth, parents Jane and Roger (Sharon), twin sister Teresa, sister Robin, brother Ron, son-in-law Ryan, and granddaughters Keira and Claire.
Lisa’s daughters are spreading part of her ashes in Washington state and Paris, France. She will also be forever memorialized at the Maple Valley Hobart Cemetery. She is, of course, always in our hearts and our memories. We are eternally grateful for the time we shared with her, and we will always love her to the moon and back.
