On Friday, June 28th, we bid farewell to our beloved brother, father, son, and friend, James Phillip Kelley.
Originally from Seattle, WA, James spent 31 years in Oklahoma before returning to Washington for the last decades of his life. He joins his siblings, Karen Kelley and Jerry Gibbs, his father, James Kelley and stepfather, James Scott in eternal rest. James is survived by his children, Asia Kostas and Deangelo Thompson; his brothers, Curt Kelley and Kelvin Kelley; his sisters, Elois Craig, Cortancie Wigfall, Genita Davis, and Glynn Jenette Gibbs; his mother, Lorene Scott; as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Though we wish we had more time with him, we find great peace in knowing that his infectious laugh now echoes in paradise with the Lord.
In lieu of flowers, send donations to ZERO's Black Men's Prostate Cancer Initiative.
