Gerard Delisle, 82, of University Place, WA, passed away peacefully at home on October 12, 2022, from long-standing CHF. He was born on March 9,1940, to George and Eva Delisle in Grand Forks, ND. The family moved to Rapid City, SD before permanently settling in Billings, MT.
Gerard graduated from the University of Montana then enlisted in the Army. After completing Officer Candidate School, he served in Vietnam. Following discharge, he worked in the insurance business and later for the WA State Department of Corrections. He volunteered for many years at the Morgan Family YMCA.
He is survived by his spouse Susan of 55 years, son Chris and grandson Trever, daughter Mary and grand-dog Jozy, and sister Deanne Stone. He was an avid skier and runner and enjoyed fly fishing, especially in Montana with longtime friend Dave Niklas.
At his request no funeral services will be held. A celebration of life with family will occur at a later date.
Many thanks to MultiCare Hospice for making his last days at home comfortable.
