Gerald James Nist

Gerald James Nist Jr, age 72, died in his home on 04/11/21 in Poulsbo, WA. 

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Mary Joan, and their four children; Erin Moore (Andrew), Heather Flagel (Jeremy), Bridget Lockett (Greg), and Jacob Nist (Tina) as well as his 9 grandchildren; Jacob, Parker, Jed, Gunnar, Madison, Gage, Griffin, Rowan, and Jensen. In addition, he will be missed by his three siblings; Kathy Henderson (Bob), Carol Hudson, and Mary DeMatteis and their families. 

Jerry spent his 35 year career with Safeway as a Store Manager and mentor to countless people. His early retirement enabled him to enjoy his most cherished role as husband, father, and Papa.

Jerry lived his entire life in the Pacific Northwest splitting time between the Seattle area and Central Oregon. While a dedicated fan of all Seattle sports, his favorite Saturdays were spent at Husky Stadium, and his best Friday nights were spent sharing a good meal with great friends. 

Jerry’s life will be celebrated this summer.
