Connie Jean " CJ " Gunnarson aka “Mama”
Connie, who loved to be called “Mama” by her kids, grandkids and great grandkids, departed her loving family on April 7 2021.
Connie was born in Winnemucca, Nevada on October 20, 1947.
Connie was mother to Edward, Paul and Heather. She raised her children with love and devotion in Kent, Washington with her husband Eric.
After many years of living in western Washington, Connie and Eric moved to Ellensburg, Washington in 2002 where they would find their forever home and community. Her hobbies included pine needle basket weaving, beading, painting, knitting and various other crafting projects.
She enjoyed and loved family gatherings, potlucks with friends, Seahawks games and game nights.
She was most proud of her children, grandkids and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Eric Gunnarson. Siblings Robin Smyth and Debbie Kenny. Children Edward Gunnarson, Paul Gunnarson and Heather Jones. Grandchildren Ashley McFadden, Mathew Gunnarson, Rebecca Gunnarson and Hailey Jones. Great grandchildren Madilynn McFadden and Paisley McFadden.
Memorial services will be held in western and eastern Washington and will be announced separately.
