Brett Donald Green, age 49, passed away Sept. 27, 2020 in Tacoma after a long heroic battle with cancer and neglectful nursing homes. He was born Feb. 15, 1971 in California, and lived in Washington since he was 6 years old.
Brett, fun-loving, caring, thoughtful, and brave, was the very beloved son of the late Arnold C. Green. Survived and dearly loved by mother Barbara Green; two young children, Eve Parker and Elijah Green; brothers Eric Green, Todd Green, James Freeman, Brian Freeman, and Matt Green; sisters Rachel Green and Pam Green; and 3 nieces, 5 nephews, 1 great nephew, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and long-time friends.
He enjoyed playing drums, concerts, the Oregon dunes, motorcycle riding, sculpting and art, restoring his boat, boating, weight lifting, socializing, working in the yard, and repairing big stereo systems.
He loved all animals, and they loved him. Brett loved nature, music, talking for hours, and especially laughing.
Always ready to help people and animals, Brett was a born fearless rescuer who, among other feats, saved his little brother from drowning in a creek when he himself was only 7, rescued a racoon stuck in a vent by pulling it out by the tail, saved a drunk stranger by taking away her car keys and calling 911.
Brett will be dearly and forever missed and loved.
