Alan Ricky Cole (“Rick”) passed away in Edmonds, Washington on October 13, 2021, at the age of 70. His wife, Teresa Slater, passed away only days before him.
Raised in DeWitt, Michigan, he was a master electrician for most of his life. He graduated from DeWitt High School where he was very active in sports. He was a champion boxer with Golden Gloves of Lansing, Michigan and he loved cheering on his Michigan State Spartans. He enjoyed camping, fishing and had a great love of music. The leader of the band, he played guitar, piano and sang with The Bent Scepters. He was happiest when he shared his love of music with his children.
Rick and Teresa lived just outside of Seattle, WA, for the last several years. They were highly regarded in their small community, often making Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for those who were alone and needed help.
Rick is preceded in death by his father, Roy Cole, his mother, Jean Cole and his brother, Robin Cole. He is survived by his children Shawn (Lisa) Cole, Cari Cole (Mark) Lesiw, Chad (Tiffany) Cole and Breck Cole, as well as his brothers Roy (Renae) Cole and Michael Cole and many nieces and nephews.
